- Paste or type your text directly into the large input box.
- The metrics at the top of the screen will update instantly.

Example
You type: 'Hello world. How are you?' The tool calculates: 5 Words, 27 Characters (with spaces), 2 Sentences, and an estimated reading time of 2 seconds.
Understanding Your Results
The statistics help you perfectly tailor your text length to meet specific publishing guidelines, academic requirements, or social media limits.
Common Use Cases
- Academia: Ensuring a college essay meets a strict 1,000-word minimum requirement.
- SEO & Marketing: Keeping meta descriptions under 160 characters and blog posts over 1,500 words.
- Social Media: Making sure a tweet or Instagram caption fits within platform limits.
How it Works
The tool uses JavaScript Regular Expressions (Regex) to parse the text. It counts words by looking for spaces and punctuation boundaries. It counts sentences by identifying terminal punctuation (periods, exclamation marks) followed by spaces.
Tips & Accuracy Notes
- •Hyphenated words (like 'state-of-the-art') are generally counted as a single word by standard algorithms.
- •URLs and email addresses are also treated as single words.
